Monoprint Series 2 (Paper Marbling)

This series marks the first experiments with color and different washi papers. The work freely mixes techniques from Western paper marbling and Suminagashi—throwing stones (flicking paint with a brush or broom), stylus manipulation, combing, and dragging paper. These six were selected from a larger body to represent the most diverse examples. The approach continues to push established practices by doing things wrong on purpose, embracing spontaneity and failure.
